Andy Scott, PR and Communications spokesperson for London Taxi PR, met up with Tom at Liverpool Street Station on 18th December, to present him with his certificate and present. Andy, being a member of the Poppy Cabs committee, gave Tom a certificate of Thanks from Poppy Cabs for being kind enough to produce an online video promoting the Poppy Cabs initiative and its 15-year anniversary, with the video going viral and achieving well in excess of 100,000 views.
“Tom is so supportive of Black Cabs, and as well as being a frequent user of them, he is always happy to help and promote any initiatives, such as Poppy Cabs, and for that we are truly grateful and appreciative,” Andy stated.
“Tom’s video helped raise the profile of Poppy Cabs and the service that it provides for the military veterans. He was quick to respond, thanks to his personal cab driver Cole, who we must also thanks for his assistance.” said Andy.
“With Tom having over 300,000 followers it was fantastic exposure for Poppy Cabs on the social media platforms ahead of Remembrance Sunday. It was great to meet up with him and convey our appreciation and spend time with such a passionate supporter of the profession and a true gentleman,” he added.
Poppy Cabs celebrated its 15th anniversary this year of providing free transport for military veterans and their families to and from the cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday, as well as taking veterans on other visits to the war memorials and respective commemorative events in the UK, France and Belgium.
